Just like London, Rotterdam at night is a playground for urban foxes. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to them (or a really bizarre attempt at scaring them away; haven't they heard of a FoxWatch?).
The artist florentijn hofman named the piece ‘bospolder fox’ after the neighbourhood it resides in.
There has been speculation as to what the statue stands for, could it be the locals love for the urban fox? Or the influx in newcomers to the city to have a better life... sound familiar?
What do you think this cunning creature stands for?
